Will Greenwood was selected by Ian McGeechan in 1997 before he had pulled on an England shirt. 5. Bale keeps Spurs on course

It was a drama-filled weekend of sport as the final day of the Championship saw promotion, play-off and relegation places contested, while in the Premier League the fight for European spots tightened up, as Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all won.
At the bottom of the table the battle to beat the drop was given some added spice, as Wigan shocked West Brom and Newcastle were left ruing their luck after Papiss Cisse was denied the only goal of the game, despite replays suggesting that the ball had indeed crossed the line.
