Amir Khan’s best days as a boxer are already behind him, according to his former promoter Frank Warren.
The 25-year-old British light welterweight was stopped in the fourth round by unbeaten American Danny Garcia in Las Vegas on Saturday.
Khan was knocked down three times by Garcia and he has now lost his last two fights after losing to Lamont Peterson previously.
And Warren has told talkSPORT that he has not been impressed by Khan for a while.
“For me the last couple of fights have been an accident waiting to happen,” Warren said. “It was a close fight against Lamont Petersen and he was getting caught very often by a non-puncher.
“The same happened against Medina, in the tenth round he was all over the place and if that fight had been elsewhere it may have been stopped.
“I have the feeling that he has peaked. He peaked a couple of fights ago and that [defeat] is going to be a tough thing to come back from.”
